
NOVA Marketing Services earns ISO Certification
St. Louis, MO. – January 23, 2012 – After nearly a year of planning and
working through an arduous process, NOVA Marketing Services has been rewarded
with ISO 9001:2008 certification. The designation means the company has been
recognized for establishing and applying a rigid Quality Management System (QMS)
for the management, order fulfillment, packaging and shipping of customer
programs and products.
NOVA Marketing Services provides on-line order
fulfillment, real-time inventory management, kitting and assembly and direct
mail. In 2005, NOVA became a subsidiary of The MATLET Group, a certified
Minority Business Enterprise and Corporate Plus® member of NMSDC. The ISO
9001:2008 certification is especially important since NOVA’s national and
regional customers are Fortune 1000 companies serving a wide range of
industries.
“When we began this process in January 2011, our objective
was to implement a QMS focused on customer satisfaction, employee development
and continuous process improvement,” said Kathy Abbett, NOVA’s President.

certification provides us with the tools to document and audit our processes.

Organization of Standardization (www.ISO.org)
was established in 1947. It employs a system of technical committees,
sub-committees and working groups to develop international standards. ISO
9001:2008 is a global quality management standard used to update an
organization’s QMS, regardless of the company’s size. ISO certified
organizations must honor a battery of general, management and resource
requirements. NOVA’s ISO certification is good for three years and will need to
be renewed in December 2014.
