Central Florida Press expects faster production
and turnaround times with new equipment.
Orlando, FL – January 10, 2012 – Always a leading innovator among the top
printing companies in the Southeast region, Central Florida Press (CFP) in
Orlando recently installed new equipment. Acquiring a Bobst die-cutting machine
for paper and/or board products serves a dual purpose that both strengthens
operations and sets a course for future growth, says company President Greg
Orlando.
"Bobst has an excellent reputation in the printing industry and
we’re familiar with their track record. Packaging Graphics, our sister company
in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, has used Bobst die-cutters for a very long time and
they’ve performed extremely well for them," Orlando said.
"We made this
purchase decision for two reasons. It immediately supports our current customer
base and gives us total control of the production process and turnaround times,
therefore eliminating our reliance on outsourcing work to third parties. We also
believe this equipment will give us the opportunity to compete and expand in
markets that were previously unavailable to us."
CFP has wisely taken
advantage of the technological advances that have changed the printing industry
in the last 10-15 years, including the creation of proprietary automated systems
to significantly reduce production time. The new Bobst Novacut 106 die-cutter is
state-of-the-art and designed to improve performance and versatility.
The manufacturer is quick to promote the machine’s high running speeds, short
changeover times and easy operation, in addition to its integrated electronics,
highly accurate register systems and double cam gripper bar advance.
Installation of the die-cutter was completed last week, followed by training of
CFP’s two shift crew.
Central Florida Press is one of the largest,
