THE MATLET GROUP NAMED GREATER NEW ENGLAND SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR
Pawtucket, RI Aprill 30, 2009--- The MATLET Group has been named this year’s winner of the Greater New England Minority Supplier Development Council’s Supplier of the Year award. The award was announced April 30th at the GNEMSDC’s annual awards banquet at Aqua Turf club in Southington, CT.
Each year certified MBEs of the Greater New England Council are evaluated by a selection committee made up of corporate members of the GNEMSDC. The MATLET Group (falls into Category 4 --over $50 million in revenue).

The MATLET Group has made recent investments in new equipment that positions the company to deliver very high quality, while reducing production time.
Installed at the company’s Orlando, FL facility, Central Florida Press, is a manroland a ten-color sheet fed press with DirectDrive technology. This press operates at almost twice the speed of conventional 40-inch presses, and can simultaneously perform multiple press functions (such as plate changing), drastically reducing overall production time. This press is the first of its kind in the US.
At its packaging facility in Rhode Island, Packaging Graphics, the company has installed the world’s first manroland17-unit 40-inch sheet fed press which prints up to ten-colors, and is equipped with multiple coating units and the ability to apply foil inline at press speed. This press is remarkable in that it can produce outstanding graphics and special effects all in a single process.
